1971-1972 Sabbatical year in Maastricht, earning living as cleaner, life model and portrait artist.
1973-1976 Even before graduating with distinction, she was offered a position as an illustrator with a top fashion consultancy in Oxford Street, London. In 1975, the designer, Eddie Lloyd invited her to design for and run a womenswear consultancy with clients in USA, Australia and NZ. She also assisted Lloyd in the design of the first range of menswear for Dunhill International.
1977-1980 Despite a successful and enjoyable career in fashion, Bridget decided to return to her chosen field of art – life drawing, portraiture and landscape painting. Settling in the Chichester area, she began teaching these subjects and receiving commissions.
1980 To develop her landscape and portraiture in oils and watercolour, Bridget moved to Aix-en- Provence – chosen for its consistent light. During this time she made her living as a portrait and landscape artist and audio-visual cartoonist in Aix and Paris.

1981 First solo show – Oils, watercolours and pastels. Assembly Rooms, Chichester.
2007 Bridget explored and painted her responses to geologically comparable areas of the South-West and North-East of Britain.
